Show oAmasa L. Haymond Feted On 93rd birthday & ' Looking back over four score and 13 years, Amasa L. Haymond, on his 93rd birthday Monday, believed be-lieved the "world is all right, but the people in it can sure cause a lot of trouble." Mr. Haymond was honored with a birthday dinner at his home given giv-en by a daughter, Dorothy Haymond, Hay-mond, on Sunday, at which eight of his nine sons and daughters and a number of grandchildren attended. attend-ed. During the afternoon also a large group of friends and relatives rela-tives called to extend best wishes and numerous messages were received re-ceived during the day. Many lovely gifts were also presented pre-sented the honored guest from his sons and daughters and friends. The Sons and Daughters of Black Hawk Indian War veterans remembered remem-bered him with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and scores of out-of-town friends presented him with many other tokens of remembrance. remem-brance. A beautiful birthday cake centered cen-tered the long dining table from which the birthday dinner was served. Covers were arranged for the following: Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Haymond, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. John C. Haymond, Dr. Creed Haymond and son, George, Mrs. W. W. Wagner Wag-ner and son, Dilworth, of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Haymond and Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Haymond of Magna, Mrs. W. Y. Stoddard of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. George D. Haymond of Nephi, J. A. Packard, Pack-ard, the guest of honor, and the hostess. During the afternoon also, Prof. Ed M. Rowe of Provo called and entertained with a number of readings. Again on Monday, Mr. Haymond was honored with a number, of visits from friends and relatives.
