Show -NEWS- Spanish Fork Covering what matters most WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009 • 5 Obituaries Obituaries William LaMar "Bill" Snell Martha Sarah Davis William LaMar "Bill" Snell, 70, passed away Wednesday, January 7,2009. He was born August 24, 1938 in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Braemar and Alice Lunceford Snell. Bill attended schools in Spanish Fork, where he made his home, and raised his children. He married Mary Johnson and together they raised their.four children, Vernalie, Kari (deceased), Doug, and Kathi. They later divorced. Bill married Jill Peterson in 1981, and always loved and welcomed her children, Max Lynn, Mick, Janet, and JoEll into his life. Together they all became one family. Bill was a Spanish Forker through and through. He loved everything about the town, the rich heritage, and all of his friends and acquaintances there. He was a great supporter of the Spanish Fork Athletic Programs. He especially enjoyed watching the Dons football team from his sideline chair. He relocated to San- taquin and loved it there too, but his heart belonged to his family and Spanish Fork. Bill was a very hard worker, starting at a young age working with his family and friends on the farms and in the fields in town. He worked at Heckett Engineering for several years where he met his friend and business partner, Bob Boardman, and together they owned and operated D & L Corporation for the past 32 years. Melvin was born July 9, 1934 in Pay son, Utah to James David and Evaline . Hansen Garner. He married Janet Wood on June 8, 1962 and they were blessed with 2 wonderful sons Gary and Brad. — 'Melvin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints holding positions in the Bishopric, High Priests, and Seventies. He served many years as a ward missionary. He also served a 3 year mission to Sweden. Melvin loved scouting. He was an eagle scout. He served many years as Scout Master and on the scout committee. He attended Timberline leadership training and received his Silver Beaver. He is survived by his wife Janet and his sons Dr. Gary (Sheryl) of Pleasant Grove, Brad (Katie) Garner of Spanish Fork and 8 grandchildren that he loved and adored. He has one living Brother Frank (Gay) Garner of Genola. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother Marvin, and an older brother Robert. His service to others will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
