This year brothers Adam and Brock Duke were able to give their dad a priceless gift on the weekend prior to the national holiday. This particular gift is something most young men, let alone brothers, dream about — winning a state baseball championship. Before the season commenced, the SF varsity baseball team dedicated the season to the memory of two inspirational men, the late Dev Duke and Jay Wayne Nelson, father of Coaches "Shoe" and "Whites" Nelson. Not only did the Dons accomplish that quest — they nearly pulled off something that's never been done in SF baseball history: go through the season with an unblemished record against every team in the state of Utah. Both Dukes have turned in stellar performances throughout their high schools careers.
