Show 'Twixt Us Teens . , by Tibby Tucker lads done up in such a set-up. Bud's Dud's have them, in case you're" interested. FOR EVERYBODY: Bridge the cool gap 'twixt winter wonderland parties with skiing, skatin and all and spring barbecues barbe-cues outside yeah! bridge the gap with parlor parties on a small scale. A change from the mob scenes U3ually present at the outside out-side socials (be they winter or summer) I, Tibby, think it just loads of fun to have cozy gatherings. gather-ings. Foursomes for cardtable games (two tables allow mixing but not crowding) or six-somes for records or reading bits of poetry or literature. It's so New World, that way or foursomes for french frying fish and chips or for waffles or two-somes for (Continued on Page 15) Check up on Spring FOR THE GIRLS I, Tibby, am all stirred up about the twinkling new fabrics and styles that girls can look forward to this year. The most adorable full-skirted frocks you ever did see. Some are bare-arm versions boasting boast-ing their own snuggly jacket, matching orlon sweater or one of the new capelets. They're the sweetest. Checking up on spring will prove to you that checks are high on the pattern list. Wide window-pane checks, tiny hounds-tooth, hounds-tooth, medium gingham-like checks. And in every color but take it from Tibby, that black and white is the greatest. There is so much you can do with it, you see, colorwise. And cumberbunds. They're fun! They add swish to any cotton. Contrasting or matching, solid or patterned they're the waist nipping, nip-ping, slim-slithering fashion trick that any girl would be wise to latch on to. FOR THE FELLAS: Take a close look, a long study at the new, NEW ivy corduroy jackets and slacks for this spring. I, Tibby, could swoon, honestly when I see one of the really sharp 'Twixt Us Teens (Continued from Page 2) scanning family albums (have him bring his along, too) or books of rememberance. FOR MOMS AND DADS: Open up your hearts and let the teenagers in. I, Tibby, think my friends nicer now than ever before. I, Tibby, am absolutely postive that teens are better than ever (like movies) They're hungry for home fun. Honestly, they are. They want to feel welcome in your home. They want to take turns, but some parents put the ice pack on the idea. And, honestly, Moms and Dads, we're not so bad w,hen things are set for us. Parents who take a loving interest in us and fix a little food, suggest a little entertainment en-tertainment will find we'll stay out of the kitchen cupboards and refrigerators. Only make us welcome, wel-come, hm? Isn't it better to have your teen at home, knowing what he or she is doing, than away somewhere? Really, isn't that better than a sparkling clean house all the time, anyway? |
