Show SHORT LINE AGENT AT LOGAN IS DEAD 1 LOGAN. March 20. J. R. Morton. 4S I years of age. died today from pneumonia pneumo-nia superinduced by influenza, with j which he was stricken a few days ago. For twenty years Mr. Morton had been pgent in this city for the Oregon Short Line. He also had taken a prominent part in athletics. Mr. Morton was born at Mount Carmel, Pa., in 1876, and came west when he was 19 years of age. He leaves a widow, two children, a mother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at t lie cemetery next Sunday at 2 p. m. and will bo under the direction of the local Masonic ordnr, with the Rev.E. T. Lewis ; in charge. Mr. Morton was a past mas- J ter of Harmony lodge No. 21. Ho nlno j was an active member of the Commercial j club, and . the members will attend the ' funeral services in a body. |
