Show LAP0H1T Mrs. Mable Jenkins Married Jan. 21 Delone Rich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich, of Meeker, Meek-er, Colo., and Vernon Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis, Dav-is, of Nine Mile, were married Jan. 21 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Huber, by Bishop L. J. Walker. Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis, Mark Davis, Charlotte Rich, Bishop and Mrs. L. J. Walker and the hosts Mr. and Mrs. Dean Huber. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Karren and family, of Artesia, Colo., viisted Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Christensen and family last Sunday. Pvt. Marvin Huber, of Camp Fort Ord, Calif., is home on a 14-day furlough. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Dutch) Huber. Mr. and Mrs. Donnal Lambert Lam-bert and son, of Ogden, spent a few hours with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert, and Sarah North during dur-ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn are grandparents of their first grandson, which was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Huber went to Salt Lake City, Thursday, Thurs-day, where Mr. Huber received medical aid. COTTAGE MEETING HELD The L a p o i n t missionaries held a cottage meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Nelson Young, Wednesday night. A film, "The 1947 Pioneer Trek," was shown by Morgan Merkley and wife, from Vernal. There were 26 present and light refreshments re-freshments were served. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening were, Lo-man Lo-man Hutchings and Carl Holley, of Roosevelt. A musical number was presented by Ramona Harrison, Har-rison, Erva Huber, Vera Huber, Ray Lee, George Bigelow and Louis Woolley. Mr. and Mrs. Hank Swain and daughter, of Roosevelt, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Swain and family. Robert Aycock and Mr. and Mrs Bud Jarrell, of Vernal, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor recently. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson. Ander-son. Lela Miller and Alice Jenkins were visitors in Vernal Sunday. |
