Show Mr. and Mrs. Daren Young, formerly of Provo, are now making their home in Roosevelt, Mr. Young is a teacher at the elementary school. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lambert returned Monday from a two-week two-week vacation trip to Minneapolis, Minneap-olis, Mdnn, where they visited their daughters, Miss Virginia Lambert and Mrs. Inez Lambert Poore, and family. While on their vacation trip, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert visited Yellowstone Yellow-stone national park, saw the Black Hills Passion Play, in South Dakota, and visited with friends in Denver. Mrs. Arden Sullivan is spending spend-ing a week in Salt Lake City. John A. Gilbert motored to Provo Tuesday to take his daughter, Renae, Milton Bloom-quist Bloom-quist and Erma Eldredge to enroll en-roll for the fall quarter at BYU. C. L. Fretwell, high priest, King's Peak Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Roosevelt, aj rived from Salt Lake City Men day evening to conduct the opening op-ening session, of this season's chapter activities. Mrs. Clista Angus, district American Legion Auxiliary president, installed Auxiliary officers of-ficers at the Vernal installation banquet Wednesday, Sept. 13. Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Angus motored to Helper, where Mrs. Angus again officiated at the installation of officers, and Friday Fri-day Mrs. Angus was installing officer at a Price meeting. Saturday Sat-urday evening she attended an executive board luncheon for Auxiliary officers at Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. The American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary convention will be held October 1 at Price, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hanson drove to Provo Wednesday, to take their daughter, Bonnie, to enroll for fall quarter at BYU. Tommy Gabbert and Marvin Oldroyd were in Provo Wednesday Wed-nesday to attend a Safeway meeting. Mrs. Gladyes W. Dart, of Myton was in Salt Lafce last week to attend the music lectures lec-tures by John W. Sehaum, of Milwaukee, in the president's suite at Hotel Utah. Tecriers from all parts Of the state attended at-tended the lectures and were guests at luncheon at the Starlight Star-light Gardens, Hotel Utah. Mrs. Gladyes Dart accompanied accompan-ied her son, Bill, to Salt Lake City, Sunday. Bill was enroute to Ely, Nev., to live with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zorko. Mrs. John Zirker and Mrs. Julius Zirker, of Arcadia, were luncheon guests at the Dart ranch, Friday. Miss Fredericka Dart left Saturday for Salt Lake City, where she will enter nurses training at Holy Cross hospital. She had been vacationing for twp weeks with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Qryille A,. Dart, of Myton, Miss Dart will take her training train-ing under a Bamberger scholarship, scholar-ship, which was awarded for the first time this year to student stu-dent nurses picked by the staff of training hospitals. The Rev. A. Walton Roth, D. D., field representative of the Board of National Missions, and in charge of Synods of Idaho Ida-ho and Utah, will be guest minister min-ister at the Myton Presbyterian church on October 15. The time and subject of his sermon will be announced later. Mrg. Irene jpretwel motored to Salt Lake City Friday on business. She attended the premiere pre-miere showing of Holiday on Ice Friday evening, before driving driv-ing to Mt. Pleasant to spend the remainder of the weekend with her daughter, Yvonne, a senior student at Wasatch academy. acad-emy. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Labrum, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd Old-royd enjoyed a steak fry in Uinta canyon Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Paul Wilkins went to Salt Lake City Tuesday to be with her mother, Mrs. Etta Ode-kirk, Ode-kirk, who was operated on Tuesday morning. In Salt Lake City last weekend week-end to attend the Utah Municipal League convention were Mayor and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mr. and Mrs. Ren Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mr. and Mrs. Marvell Neilson, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Harrison. Mr. Harrison, a past president of the Municipal League, was introduced at the past presidents' presi-dents' banquet Saturday evening. eve-ning. While in Salt Lake the group were guests at the opening presentation pres-entation of Holiday on Ice. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum and family were in Salt Lake Wednesday to attend Holiday on Ice. Visiting in Salt Lake during the week were Randall Stewart, and Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart Stew-art and daughter, Renee. Mr. and Mrs. David Nicholson, Nichol-son, of Ontario, Oreg., former Roosevelt residents, announce the arrival of their first grandchild, grand-child, a daughter, born September Septem-ber 19, to Mr. and Mrs. Val Nicholson, of Ontario. The Roosevelt Fish and Game club members and their partners will enjoy a party at Roosevelt city park, Monday evening at 7:30 p. m. |
