A novel party of the week was the the one given last Wednesday evening by the G A Club in the new chicken coop of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mowers. Gem-mell Gem-mell Club House. Among those from this city who attended L. D. S. conference in Salt Lake City Sunday were Bishop and Mrs. T. A. Greenwood and Mrs. David Grant. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stice had as their guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Speer and daughters, Fern and Harn, o Salt Lake City, Mr and Mrs. D. Richard Douglas and Miss Pearl Douglas of Ogden. Dr. and Mrs. P. M. Kelly of St. Anthony, Idaho, spent several days the first of the week visiting friends and relatives in this city. They came down from Idaho to attend L. D. S. conference at Salt Lake City Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Mao Miller was a business visitor in Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Birk and son, Thornton, motored to Copperton Monday, Mon-day, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen. Mrs. Christensen Chris-tensen just recently underwent an operation for appendicitis in Salt Lake City, but according to last reports, re-ports, is doing as well as can be expected. ex-pected. Nielson and daughters, daugh-ters, La Wana and Lu Gene. The cast of "Surefire," the recent First ward comedy success, and their partners, enjoyed a theatre party and banquet Wednesday evening. The group motored to Provo early in the evening, where they attended "In Old Arizona'" at the Paramount theatre, after which they returned to the Grant Hotel, American Fork, and were served a delicious chicken banquet. ban-quet. The Salt Lake Mutual Creamery Co. entertained last Thursday evening at a carnival dancing party for the Ogden and local creamery plant employees em-ployees and their partners. The affair was given in the Auditorium at Salt Lake. Confetti, caps, noise makers and serpentine were all used by the revelers. Refreshments were served during the evening. Following the carnival, the local personell returned re-turned to American Fork, where they enjoyed luncheon and music at the home of Manager Marrius Hansen. Those attending from the local creamery were as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Marrius Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sagers, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Welsh, Mr. and Mrs. David Grant, Mr. and Mrs. David Davis, Mr. and Mrs. August Schroader, Misses Clarice Bromley, Ester Pulley, Margarette Birk, Messrs. Marvin Schroader, of this city, and Frank Larson and Ed Rowe of Spanish Fork. Mrs. Irvin Makin returned home Monday evening from the capitol city, where she spent the previous several days visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Grant are the happy parents of a fine baby boy born Tuesday evening. All concerned are doing very nicely. Mrs. Grant was formerly Miss Lela Wilson.
