Show ( obituaries J Angeline L. Young Angeline Lunceford Young, 89, of Pleasant Grove died Monday, Oct. 26, 1987 at the home of a daughter in Provo. She was born Nov. 10, 1987 in Lakeview to John Hyrum and Melvina Hansen Lunceford, the second of 10 children. She married Joseph Vern Young Dec. 3, 1924. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 9, 1972. She received her early education in lakeview schools. Upon graduation she worked ;or Dr. and Mrs. Pyne and Mr. and Mrs. George Lunceford of Provo. She also helped her father contract farm work. She was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Pleasant Grove 6th Ward, where she served as a visiting teacher, Relief Society magazine representative and worked on bazaars and other fund raisers. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Pleasant Grove Senior Citizens. Her hobbies were everyone's birthdays, sending hundreds of cards each year. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, crocheting, writing and reading poetry, sewing and crafts of all kinds. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Ray (Arlene) Strong, American Fork; Mrs. Carl (Marjorie) Wax, Provo; four grandchildren; grand-children; 16 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a brother and a sister: Dean Lunceford, Brawley, Calif.; Jan Cavo, El Centro, Calif. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 S. 300 East, Pleasant Grove, where friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Jennifer Lyn Anderson Jennifer Lyn Anderson, An-derson, the infant daughter of Gregory Jay Anderson and Jetta Green Anderson, died Oct. 22, 1987, at her home of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). She was born June 19, 1987, in the American Fork Hospital. She is survived by her parents of Pleasant Grove; grandparents Sandra Anderson, American Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Green, Pleasant Grove; great-grandparents great-grandparents Opal Greenwood, Lehi; Mr. and Mrs'. B.T. Gallegos, Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. Theo F. Anderson, An-derson, Duchesne. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Wing Mortuary in Lehi. The family prayer was offered by Reta Johansen. The invocation in-vocation was offered by David Green. Ken Greenwood spoke comforting words to the family. A musical number, "I Think When I Read that Sweet Story of Old," was sung by Tammy Dodge. The closing prayer was offered by Barry Peterson and Bishop Donald Dodge dedicated the grave at the Lehi City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Anderson, Adam Johansen, Mike Green and James Green. Frank Bennett services Funeral services for i Frank Gordon Bennett, who died Oct. 17, 1987, : were held Oct. 20 in the : i Anderson & Sons ; Mortuary Chapel under the direction of Bishop John Gardiner of the American Fork 27th LDS Ward. The family prayer was offered by Dr. Frank B. Allen. Jed Moss performed the' prelude and postlude. Mike Deveraux gave the invocation. Speakers included Kay Hall, who gave the life sketch; Jack Taylor and Bishop Gardiner. Musical numbers included a number by Gina Mason and Jed Moss, as well as renditions ren-ditions of "Just Beyond the Moon" and "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" by Connie and Ken Grace. Billy Allen gave the benediction and Paul Bennett dedicated the grave in the American Fork City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Keith Johnson, Dustin Bennett, Wade Bennett, Kent Durrant, Adam Taylor, Justin Bennett and Jonathon Peters. Honorary casket bearers were Marriner Mitchell, Robert Hall, Chris Johnson, Vern Nicholes, Gary Varney, Paul Lassen, Russell Bryant, Jim DuPass, Jeff Mitchell, Jan Moss and Lucian Crandall. |
