Show Wednesday, May 29, 197d Paged CITY WE GET LETTERS To whom it may concern:. Being an enthusiastic resident, a local merchant and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, I felt compelled to write in rebuttal to those who have falsified reports about the Sunday opening of The Club. First, it was a Grand Opening ft k TM I V M1 iS'rt Vt?3 jO W'-M i p-i-- i fer V"' Ufc.r 1 1 tj && &4, and therefore crowded. Any consumption outside the premises was minor and when the officers requested that we. keep all drinking inside, everyone immediately complied. Secondly, the Sundowners never, I repeat, never made any threats. After a short stay, they left peacefully (they, too, were tourists). Any reports contrary to this are false. We must not get carried away with vicious rumors and unnecessary panic. The locals of Park City are generally mature, responsible people and care about their town. Personally, I think the locals have even more right, than that of the tourist, to enjoy Park City. If they want to use Main Street on a beautiful Sunday afternoon - why not ! Too many Main Street merchants have let their greed overcome their sense of compassion. I am enthusiastic about our future and look forward to a better level of communication. Sincerely, Joe Buehler CHURCH DIRECTORY PUBLIC NOTICE SAINT MARYS CATHOLIC CHURCH (Oldest Catholic Church in Utah still in use) 121 Parkl Avenue, Saturday. I have been involved in many campaigns in many cities, but have never felt such an overwhelming acceptance by the merchants and residents to help in an effort to make Park City a cleaner place to live. This was the first year a was held for those who participated in Clean Up Day, and while there are mistakes to correct, on the whole it went very well.
