Show Deaths and Funerals SHANKS The funeral of Mrs Emily Emi-ly Parry Shanks was conducted In the Lindqulst chapel yesterday by Rev. John A. Hyslop of the Episcopal church. Miss Josephine Shorten sang, "Sometime We'll Understand," "All Through the Night," "and Softly and Tenderly." Interment was in the Mountain View cemetery. CLARK Raymond Walter Clark, Infant, son of Walter and Zcnna Hill Clark, died at a local ho3pltal this morning of pneumonia. He was born March 25, 1919. Tho parents, a Dro-ther, Dro-ther, Lloyd and sister, Mary, survive. Tho body was removed to Lindquist's mortuary. Tho body may bo viewed at the residenco in Liberty tomorrow and Wednesday forenoon. Funeral services will be hold In Liberty Lib-erty meeting houso, Wednesday at 2 , p. m., with Bishop J. L. Shaw presiding. presid-ing. THORNECK Walter Crltchlow Thorneck, infant son of Wilford and Jane Crltchlow Thorneck, died at the residenco, 2907 Plngrco avenue, Saturday Sat-urday evening of pneumonia. Bosidos the parents a brother, Rudger, and a sister Moana, survive. The body may be viewed at the residenco today. This evening tho body will bo shipped by Lindqulsta to Bloomington, Ida., from where burial will take place. MORTENSEN Mrs. Anna Margaret Mortenson died at Sunset at 4 a, m. today. Sho had suffered from heart' 1 trouble for some time. She was born In Nyborg, Denmark, September 23,, 1853. With her parents she camo to" , Utah In 18G2. She was marlred to , Poter Mortenson at Ephrlam, Utah, August 26, 1870. Living thoro a fow yoars tho family camo to Ogden, later settling at Sunset. Children surviving aro: Mrs. D. T. Perry. Mrs Peter Albert, Fredorick A., Martin O. Mortenson, of Sunset; , Mrs F. A. Pollard, Palmetta, Florida; Murray G. Mortenson of Ogden; Lcs-, Lcs-, Ho G. Mortenson of Farmlngton; Mrs. t O. E. Butler, Sunset; also 24 grandchildren grand-children and eight great-grand chll- dren. Funoral arangoments aro In charge of Lindqulst and will bo held In abeyance, pending tho arrival of Mrs Pollard. STOREY Funeral services for Mrs. Clarissa Storey, wlfo of James Storey, wore hold Sunday at 11:30 o'clock at the North Ogden meeting houso, with Bishop Barker officiating. Tho church was crowded with relatives and friends and floral tributes banked the casket. The ward choir sang "Oh My Father," land "Sister Was Mild and Lovely," Mrs Mary Farley sang, "Sometime Wo'll Undorstand," "Not Half has Ever been Told," "One Sweot Solemn Thought," was sung by Charles Ellis. Tho spoakors were president Thomas E. McKay, John W. Gibson, George E. Farr, Bishop Barker. Interment was In tho North Ogdon cemetery, with Charles Storey dedicating the gravo. SHAW Funeral services for tho In-lant In-lant daughter of Mr. and Mrs Merlin Shaw were held at 11 o'clock Sunday at tho home, 1453 Washington avenue. ave-nue. Bishop T. P. Parry officiated and was the speaker at tho services. Burial was made in the Ogden City cemetery, with Lyslo W. Larkln dedicating dedi-cating the gravo. |
