' Judge Howell this evening at Salt Lake will drocuss the Question, "Neglected "Ne-glected Provisions of the State On- 1 Ktltution." Judge Howell will pay that, the pro-' pro-' vision places too great a burden upon ! Nhe Judiciary of the. mate., but. that i if the members of the bar association will aid, it can be compiled with, and I he will suggest that the lawyers take ! the matter up in the regular order of the business of the tyeeting and devise de-vise Home definite plan by which the i .questions may be considered, and re- ports made to the state legislature. There are constitutional provisions thniat base practically Leen disregarded, disre-garded, two of the most Important being be-ing the provision for the' initiative and referendum and the regulation of railroad rates in the state. These questions, however, will not be discussed dis-cussed at the Bar association meeting ! tonight, but they will be left to the I judges and attorneys to report the failure to enforce tbem at some lime j alter the election. |
