Uttlefield was hostes to the Martha society at Its regular meeting meet-ing on Monday afternoon, when the receipts and expenditures of the Charity Char-ity ball formally came before the meeting, and plans for the relief of those now on the list and all others whom the society may l-e called upon to assist, were discussed. The society's receipts at the Charity Char-ity ball amounted to Jl.Ofti). and nearly near-ly $900, the net receipts, will Ik? available for the help of the poor through the winter. Owing to the fact that the ladies of the society did a large amount of the work necessary nec-essary to the accomplishment of such a large undertaking, and their personal person-al contributions also were a material mate-rial factor In keeping a comparative lv small expense ll.'t " The next meeting of tho society will he held at the home of Mrs. J. S. Lewis. SURPRISE PARTY. A mirprise party was given In honor hon-or of Miss Florence Olsen Tuesday evening at the family residence on Second street. Music and games were the order of the evening, after which a tempting repast was served. Those present were: Misses Alta Brown, Mrtlo Wilson. Myrtle Myers, Helen Rosen-crans, Rosen-crans, Alice Stone, Ruby Clark. Florence Flor-ence Olsen and Pauline Christensen; Messrs. Carl Wheeler, Thomas Ball, Clyde Levitt, Clarence Pramwell. Harold Har-old Brarnwell. Frnest Cardon, Frank Wilev, Fd Taylor. Harold Richards, Ole Carlson and Klmer Bingham. HALCYON CLUB. ' The ladles ot the Halcyon club were pleasantly entertained by Mrs. R. K. Bristol last Friday afternoon. The next meeting of ttc club will be at the home of Mrs, R. T. Hume. 600 CLUB. The "5n0" club members were the guests of Mrs. K.ra'RIeh last Friday i w iling.
