MATHER ' ' SERVICES MONDAY j Mrs. Bertha Elinore Done Mather, Ma-ther, 64, lifelong resident of Smithfield where she won statewide state-wide acclaim for her ability as a musician and chorister, died on Thursday at 6:55 p. m. at the fam-,Uy fam-,Uy home following a long illness. . She was bom May 11, 1880 in Smithfield, a daughter of George and Alice Smith Done. She was married to William Mather Sr., December 21, 1898 in the Logan teple. He died September 3, 1944. Mrs. Mather began studying music mu-sic at the age of 11 years; was selected as organist of the Smith-field Smith-field First ward primary association associa-tion the following year and continued con-tinued her musical career until she died. She was Smithfeild stake primary and Relief society organist; ward chorister and directed di-rected several choirs that v n statewide recognition. Survivors include the following sons and daughters: George, Nathan, Na-than, Thomas E., and Conrad Harry Mather, Mrs. Alice Barnes, Smithfield; James Mather, Chicago, Chica-go, 111.; Roland Mather, with the armed forces, overseas; Mrs. Mary Ann Rees, Ogden and Mrs. Donna Don-na Murle Lo,"'T T -t,-", " -iwi-al grandchildren; one brother, William Wil-liam Done, , and one sister, Mrs. Mary D. Coleman, Smithfield. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Monday at 2 p. m. in the Smithfield First ward by M. T. Van Orden, bishop. Friends may call at the family home Sunday evening and Monday until time of services. Burial in Smithfield iemetery will be under direction of . the Kenneth Lindquist mortu- ary. |
