Show Service Offered War Veterans IJames F. Jordan, manager of I the United States Employment Service office today urged discharged dis-charged war veterans seeking employment em-ployment to take advantage of the services offered by WMC's United States Employment Sen-ice. Mr. Jordan pointed out that although al-though honorably discharged veterans vet-erans of the present war no longer are subject to priority referral, all disposal. Local USES offices,' he facilities of USES are at their said, are in a position to provide veterans with information on job openings, referrals to suitable jobs, counseling assistance, and other information and services related to employment. USES, with about 1.500 full-time local employment offices and 2,000 part-time offices throughout the country, is equipted to give the widest possible coverage for referring re-ferring veterans to available employment, em-ployment, Mr. Jordan said These offices are provided with current labor market reports and occupational occu-pational information on labor supply sup-ply end demand, employer requir-ments requir-ments for additional workers, anticipated an-ticipated layoffs, war production schedule changes and redistribution of war contracts. |
