Show Better Goal The Cache Valley Boy Scout council bettered its membership objective for the year and Is awaiting the outcome of a challenge chal-lenge from the Riverside, Cal., council, it was reported today by Executive Preston Pond. The Cache council was challenged chal-lenged early last spring by the Riverside group to reach a goal of over 2200, which represents an increase of 10 per cent over, 1942 enrollment, Mr. Pond explained. Total enrollment figures are not available as some districts have not reported completely but the goal has been passed, he said, He announced also that the council nominating committee, with Dr. John C. Carlisle as chairman, chair-man, will meet early next week to nominate officers for the coming year. Nomination by the group is tantamount to election and results will be announced at the annual dinner meeting at the Bluebird cafe on January 28. Feature of the annual meet will be the presentation of two Silver Beaver awards to outstanding scouters and of two scoutmaster keys. |
