Show 'FUNERAL services 0? SARAH TIDWELL HELD Fiuneral services were held at Wel-jlington Wel-jlington last Sunday for Mrs. Sarah Seely Tidwell, who died last Friday-evening Friday-evening at that place, the services being largely attended. . . Mrs. Tidwell's relatives of this city who attended the funeral were: Jos. Seely, Wm. H. Seely, Mrs. Eva Christensen, Chris-tensen, Mrs. John H. Seely and Stewart Stew-art R. Seely of Idaho. The speakers were A. W. Horsley, president of Carbon stake, Elder John Potter of Price and former Bishop of Sunnyside and Bishop Eugene Eu-gene E Branch of Wellington. Prayer was offered by Elder Walter D. Draper, Dra-per, and Elder John H. Pace pronounced pro-nounced the benediction. Elder B. V. Gould dedicated the grave at Wellington cemetery. The music foi the services was given by the Wellington Wel-lington ward choir, "Oh, My Father" and "Oh Grave, Where is Thy Victory," Vic-tory," being rendered. Mrs. Tidwell was the widow of Jesse Tidwell, who died about a year ago. Vine children mourn the departure de-parture of a most loving and devoted mother. They are: J. W., Frank, Hyrum, Jos. R., Orange, Alonzo. Hannah, Mrs. Sarah Tidwell Thane and Mrs. Maranda Tidwell Strong. Mrs. Tidwell was born April 10th, 1844 at Nashville, Lee county, Iowa, and came to Utah with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Justice Wellington See-ty See-ty in 1847; later she went to California Cali-fornia and returned to Ktah June 15, 1859, where she made her home up to the time of her death which was caused by cancer of the neck. |
