Show ISelta Mother Buried Monday 1 Funeral services for Mrs. Grayce Ivie Peterson, of Delta, were conducted con-ducted Monday at 2 p. m. in Delta First ward chapel, by E. L. Moody, hishon of Delta Third ward. Mrs. Peterson died Thursday morning, . following an illness of approxi- l mately one year. Mrs. Peterson was born in Scipio, ' April 26, 1905, a daughter of Jos- eph O. and Hilda Josephine Ivie. '. She had lived in Delta since 1911, ! when her family moved here, early ear-ly farmers in the community. She married Oscar C. Peterson ' at Fillmore Feb. 25, 1924, followed follow-ed by a ceremony later in the ' Manti L. D. S. Temple. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had served as Relief Society teacher teach-er and secretary of the Y. L. M. I. A. Surviving are her husband and seven children: Gladys Taylor, Don-fH, Don-fH, Edith. Hilda, Oneta and Carl, all of Delta; Nelda D. Jensen, Salt Lake City, and three grandchildren. , Also surviving are her parents, two brothers, Hugh and Clark Ivie, and one sister, Mrs. Lorraine Ross, all of Delta. . i The services opened with a song, ' by Mrs. Donna Sagers and Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Anderson, and the opening prayer was offered by Lathel Cal-I Cal-I lister. Mr. and Mrs. Ansell Hall followed fol-lowed with a song. Speakers were jWilford McClellan, William S. Bas-i Bas-i sett and Eldro Jeffery, who paid tribute to Mrs. Peterson's memory as a loving wife and mother. Other music was by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Losee, with a song, and a .duet by Mrs. Zola Greener and Mrs. Melba jWillden. After remarks by Bishop .Moody, the closing prayer was given giv-en by James Taylor. Burial was in the Delta ceme-i ceme-i tery, under the direction of L. N. jNickle and sons, and the grave was dedicated by Hamilton McCullough. |
