Show POLITICAL RALLY Judge William F. Knox and Geo. Jefferson of Milford, Republican nominee for Representative in' the election just past, each gave interesting interest-ing political speeches in Beaver on October 25th, at a meeting of the, Republican Re-publican Ladies club. The meeting convened at the I. O. O. F. hall under the direction of chairwoman, Mrs. Isabelle Gillies. The questions of tariff, prohibition prohibi-tion and other national issues were ably treated by Mr. Knox, while Mr. Jefferson explained many features of the laws of the state and the way of their workings, much to the satisfaction satisfac-tion of those who heard him speak. Underground waters of Milford valley val-ley received attention in Mr. Jefferson's Jeffer-son's modest appeal for support at the polls. A ladies' glee club sang a number of campaign songs, and Mrs. Kate Joseph furnished a piano solo. Following the meeting, refreshments refresh-ments were served at the Bon-Ton. |
