Show BEAVER BRIEFS Elder White Coming Home Word has been received from Elder Elmer D. White, who has been laboring labor-ing in the British mission for more than two years, that he was released October thirty-first. After a short trip on the continent he will sail for America sometime late in November. Daughter Born Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Joseph are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of their firstborn, first-born, a daughter, on November 15th. Hold Adult Classes in Literature The class in literature which opened open-ed last week at the high schoool was attended by a group of fifteen women. wo-men. Others who did not hear of the class in time to attend will join this week. Miss Shepherd called a vote as to what phase of literature the class wanted to study, resulting in a decisive decis-ive favor for drama. "Madam Butterly," proved a most delightful vehicle for the opening of the series of dramas to be read during dur-ing the remained of the school year. "The Return of Peter Grimm" will be this week's reading. Former Resident Dies Mrs. D. T. Reese received word Tuesday of the death of her cousin, Mrs. Ruth Loyd, at San Bernardino, California. Mrs. Loyd was a resident of Beaver Beav-er some thirty-five years ago, since , then living at Pioche, Nevada, until recently going to California in search of health. City Assesses Fines Last week in the Justice Court Denny Dalton, Blaine Morris and Stan Oakden were each fined fifty dollars, the latter for "celebrating" j election night. Morris and Dalton were fined for ; letting themselws out of the city I jail by prying the hinges off the door j when they had been locked up on a disturbance ' charge. |
