Show SOCIETY Bundle Shower , J In honor of Mrs. O. A. Melctier, i a bundle shower was given Thursday, i j November 15, at the home of Mrs. I Owen R. Smith. Mrs. Frank Galnour, ' Mrs. Earl Gleason and Mrs. J. E. j Yither were hostesses. A very en- j joyable time was spent playing Five ; Hundred, Mrs. W. G. White winning high prize and Mrs. George Litch-: field, consolation. Delightful refresh-! ments were served to Mesdames G. C-: Cuddy, Bernard Hutchins, Jack Lang- j enbacker, Ray Malstrom, John Han-! Ion, George Litchfield, -. L. Ferguson, C. T. Nolan, Charles Schow, W. G. White, Leonard Muir, Roy White, Joe Hanlson, Charles Sportsman, Freda Outzen, Jaye Jeffers E. Huddleston, of Provo, and the guest of honor,1 Mrs. O. A. Melcher. A great many! beautiful gifts were received. Entertains with Turkey Dinner Mrs. M. Johnson entertained on Sunday evening with a delicious turkey tur-key dinner. Those who enjoyed the hospitality of the Johnson home were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Baker and family, fami-ly, Mr. 'and Mrs. E. Y. Foutz and Le I Roy Luken. ! Panguitch Guests Mr. and Mrs. Evans of Panguitch, who are here visiting their daughter, Mrs. Leslie Carter, were dinner guests on Thursday of Mr. and Mr3. Bert j Carter. Quilting Bee The C H. club met on Wednesday evening with Mrs. Jennie Carter. A "quilting bee" was the feature. Miss Olive Orevin and Drucilla Carter furnished musical selections. Luncheon Lunch-eon wes then served to Mesdames , , .....v,., hwujiibuu, martin, Clay and Mrs. Brown, who was an invited in-vited guest. Bridge Luncheon Mrs. Bernard Hutchins was hostess at a Bridge Luncheon at her home, Wednesday, November 14. Mrs. Jaye Jeffers was awarded the prize for points and honors. Those in attendance were Mrs Earl Gleason, Mrs. Ray Malstrom, Mrs. O. A. Melcher, Mrs-John Mrs-John Hanlon, Mrs. Joe Hanlon, Mrs. Jack Langenbacker, Mrs. Jaye Jeffers Jeff-ers and Mrs. Gro-er Cuddy, an invited in-vited guest- I Jun;or High Party The students of the Junior high enteriained Friday at the high, school. Interesting games were played and dancing was enjoyed in the gym, followed fol-lowed by an appetizing luncheon served serv-ed by Esther Crawford, Virgia Killam, Kil-lam, and Vernice Smith. Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Frazer entertained enter-tained at a dinner party Sunday, November 18th, complimentary to the Mesdames L. A. Turley and Lizzie Leach. The center piece was a crystal crys-tal baskekt of chrysanthemums and rose buds. The guests were Mrs. Sarah White, mother of Mrs. Frazi-er; Frazi-er; Mr. and Mrs. James Patterson and family; Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Stoney and family, of Beaver; and the honored honor-ed guests. New Friends Club Mrs. S. C. Ruschmeier entertained the New Friends club on Tuesday, last week. Those present were the Mesdames Antone Johnson, Aaron ' Smith, Ervin Campbell, Wm. Cochrane, Coch-rane, Bert Price and daughter, Madeline, Madel-ine, Wm. Fernley and Mont Copeland. A delightful luncheon was served. o Mrs. Harry Yeager spent Monday and Tuesday in the Capitol city. The Misses Ellen Ford and Waldine Evans are spending several days in Salt Lake City. Peter Martin, young son of Mrs. Letha Martin, is ill with influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Bird of Ogden, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Calvert are in Salt Lake where Mr Calvert is receiving medical treatment. Rev. Homer E. Root returned from Salt Lake City, Wednesday. |
