Show A BEAUTIFUL THING. Mr. T.J. Lutz of Smithfield, called upon us a few days since and brought with him a large frame ?[19X24] inches in size, containing what he terms "The Floral Photograph Record of Deseret." The frame contained photographs of all the members of the first presidency and quorum of apostles, all of uniform style and size, and each in a ?[wood], surrounded by a floral wreath. Around each picture are notes, giving the age, stature, weight, complexion, color of hair and eyes, form, education, and date of birth, of each subject. A large photograph of President Taylor is in the centre, and immediately under it is a bee-hive, surrounded with flouwers, the whole on a mountain top, typical of the location of the Saints in the mountains. The whole forms a complete record of the presidency and apostles now living, and is also a beautiful work of art, which many of our readers will no doubt desire to ?[possess]. Mr. Lutz is now appointing agents in various parts of the territory to canvass for and sell the Record. Mr. W. H. Miles, of Logan, is agent for Logan, Providence, Benson and Mendon, and Mr. F.R. Cantwell of Millville and S.A. Dunn of Brigham City, are agents for the settlements south of Providence, and for Box Elder and Weber counties. Mr. T.B. Cardon, Logan's popular photographer, printed the photographs, which are all very good. |
