STUART ORTON Church wedding ceremony unites Clarice Porter and Stuart Orton in marriage Mr. Stuart Orton claimed Miss Clarice Porter, of Evan-ston, Evan-ston, Wyo. as his bride in a marriage ceremony on Saturday, Satur-day, Feb. 10 which took place in the Parowan 1st Ward chapel. cha-pel. Bishop Ernest Ahlborn officiated of-ficiated in the single ring rites in the presence of members mem-bers of both families. A wedding breakfast was hosted by the parents of tha bridegroom at the Firelight Cafe following the wedding. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kilburn Porter of Evanston, and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bud Orton of Parowan. The young couple were honored hon-ored at a reception, held in the Parowan First Ward cultural cul-tural hall that same evening. For this event the bride was beautiful in a gown of white lace. The fitted bodice was beaded with sequins around the square neck, and fell in a full skirt. The fitted lace sleeves came to a point at the wrists. The elbow length veil fell from a heart-shaped tiara of pearls. Her cascade bouquet bou-quet was pink carnations and red roses, surrounded by pink ribbons studded with white pearls and red hearts. Maid of honor was Miss Ramona Ra-mona Gerraired, a friend of the bride from Evanston. Bridesmaids were the Misses Angela and Leslie Orton, and Miss Laurel Orton was flower girl. All wore floral floor-length floor-length gowns of pink and white. The maid of honor and bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink carnations and small red hearts. Flower girl carried car-ried a basket of pink carnations carna-tions and white mums. Best man for the bridegroom bride-groom was Miles Robinson, and Brad Orton served as usher ush-er for his brother. At the guest book was Mrs. David Holm; at the gift table were the Misses Connie and Sue Dunton. The beautiful decorations and the refreshments refresh-ments were all done In the Valentine theme as were the flowers, and were provided by The Enchanted 3ardens. Mrs. Richard Batt was at the organ for the lovely wedding wed-ding ceremony, at which Mrs. Chet Warner sang "Because" before Bishop Ahlborn per-formed per-formed the weddingw formed the wedding ceremony. The bride attended Evanston Evan-ston High School where she was a member of the Drill Team and the Pepster Club. The bridegroom was a graduate of Parowan High School with the class of 1972. The newlyweds are now at home in Cedar City, following a brief honeymoon trip to Las Vegas. |
