Show Knight and Abbott recite vows in St. George LDS Temple May 25 Kodney Lynn Knight claimed claim-ed Mlas Klea Marie Abbott as his bride In a double ring ceremony performed on May 25 in the St. George LDS Temple. Tem-ple. Theron Ashcroft of the temple presidency officiated at the marriage In the pre-sence pre-sence of family members and friends. The bride Is the daughter of Bishop and Mrs, Myron Abbott Ab-bott of Paragonah. Mr. Knight is the son of Mrs. Ver-dell Ver-dell Knight of Cedar City and the late Vcrdell Knight. Following the wedding the bridegroom's mother hosted a breakfast at the Sugar Loaf Cafe for the wedding party. That evening the newly-I newly-I weds were honored at a reception re-ception held in the Paragonah Paragon-ah Ward Cultural Hall hosted by Bishop and Mrs. Abbott, j Mrs, Melva Barton provided appropriate music while the guests were arriving. The new Mrs. Knight was lovely in her floor length gown of white crepe. It was fashioned with an empire waist, high neckline, lace trim, and long, full sleeves with deep cuffs which buttoned. button-ed. Her full length veil of bridal Illusion fell from a petaled tiara. Her crecent shaped bouquet was of yellow yel-low roses and white daisies. She was attended by Mrs. Leo Abbott as matron of honor. hon-or. Miss Jenna Dean Whiting was maid of honor and bridesmaids brides-maids were the Misses Donna Abbott, Christine Anderson and Cecelia Etslty. Flower girls were Dana Abbott and Kim Pottard. They wore floor length flowered dresses In spring shades and carried single roses. Standing as best man was Bob Burns. Douglas Knight at. tended his mother In the receiving re-ceiving line and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Benson, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Knight were also present to greet guests. The misses Diane Rasmus- ijM fa"-,, X -f ill m MR. AND MRS. RODNEY KNIGHT sen and Marlnl La'Ulu were at the guest book. Mrs. Jackie Benson, Mrs. Roma Knight and Mrs. Sandra Plttard took care of the gifts assisted by Richard Abbott, Donald Livingston and Cary Pittard. Assisting with the refreshments refresh-ments were Orilla and Garna Lister, Emma R a s m ussen, Barbara Stones, Judy Talbot and Vie Ann Adams. The serving was done by Klea's cousins, Susan Rasmussen, Arvilla Abbott, Shari and Laurie Benson. Roy Benson, Jr. was master of ceremonies tor an interest- ing program that Included a vocal solo 'Song of Love" by Howard Knight accompanied by Mrs. Dawn aHnks; piano selections by Pres. Phillip Hanks; a song "The Starry Way" by Beehive girls Donna Abbott, Dcbra Robinson, Bonnie Bon-nie Reese and Lisa Robison; a reading "Something About Husbands," by Sue Dunton; a medley of saxaphone selections selec-tions by Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson Rob-inson accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux and a vocal duet "Do I Love You" by the misses Dianne Abraham and Lorraine Hunt, accompanied by Miss Lucy Wood. Following the program danc. Ing was enjoyed. Following a short honeymoon honey-moon trip the young couple are making a home in Cedar City. |
