Show I Linda Gai Hulet and Gary Simkins I United in Saturday Marriage Rites Standing as best man was John Simkins, brother of the bridegroom and ushers were Kenneth D. Simkins, Michael Hulet, Leon Adams, Douglas Evans, Jody Simkins and Gene Slack. Others assisting with the reception re-ception were as follows: Keeping the gues book was Mrs. Gail Simkins Displaying the gifts were Mrs. Dru Simkins, Sim-kins, Miss Janet Gurr, Mrs. Gay Shakespeare, Miss Mary Ann Dalton and Mrs. Lynn Griffin. Refreshments were catered by Mrs. Larie Bradshaw and she was assisted in the kitchen kitch-en by Mrs. Cora Hult, Mrs. Shirleen Newell, Mrs. Julie In a marriage ceremony which was solemnized Saturday Satur-day evening, March 16 Miss Linda Gae Hulet and Mr. Gary Evans Simkins were united in marriage. The rites took place in the Relief Society room of the Third Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Rupert S. Hulet, uncle of the bride officiating of-ficiating in the double ring ceremony. Both are popular young people of this community. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hulet and the Bridegroom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Simkins. The newlyweds were honored honor-ed at a reception following their marriage, held in the Third Ward cultural hall. For I her marriage and the reception recep-tion the bride wore a floor length gown of white lace I over satin, featuring an em-' em-' pire waist, and a shoulder length veil. She carried a bou-j bou-j quet of red roses. Attending the bride were Mrs. Davie Adams, Miss Karen Hulet, Miss Sandra Gentry, Mrs. LaRae Mortensen, Mrs. Vickie Jones, Miss Rhea Tuft, and Miss Alyson Adams. They wore pale pink twinkle satin a-line sheaths and carried red roses and ping carnations. Little Lit-tle Miss Deann Griffin was flower girl and Todd Simkins was ring bearer. The mothers of the bride and bridegroom wore dark, pink dresses and corsages of red roses and ping carnations. Lister, Mrs. Elaine Adams and Mrs.J Slack. Serving were Paula Pau-la Newell, Mary Jane Newell, LuAnn Slack, Andrea Adams, Margaret Hulet, and Christine Mitchell. Dancing during te eveining was to music furnished by Mrs. Melva Barton, Mrs. Boyd Robinson, George Grimshaw and Jimmie Benson. Following the reception the couple left for a one week honeymoon to California. Mr. Simkins has just recently recent-ly completed a tour of duty with the U. S. Army, a year of which was spent in Vietnam. He now plans to attend the College of Southern Utah. The bride is operator of the beauty beau-ty salon at Miriam's Style Shop in Parowan where they will make a home. Honoring the bride at a pre-nuptial pre-nuptial party were Mrs. LaRae La-Rae Mortensen and Mrs. Davie Adams. |
