JONES SOCIAL SWING Nola Kupfer Entertaining on Friday evening even-ing was Mrs. Chester Barrick. Mrs. Barrick served a light luncheon lunch-eon after which pinochle was played by the club members present pre-sent High score ladles for the evening were Jean Robb, Wanda Docksteader, and Marian Rosenberg. Rosen-berg. Beta Sima Phi XI Omega chapter was greeted by Mrs. Kenneth Mldtfleton on Thursday at her home. Presenting the entertaining en-tertaining program for the evening even-ing was Mrs. Richard Hunter. Mrs. Hunter gave many timely excerpts from writings on getting get-ting the most out of life and articles ar-ticles of mental health.- Serving for the evening on the refresh-mont refresh-mont committee were Mrs. Gary Jones and Mrs. George Leigh. Mrs. Shirley Stratton was special spe-cial gue-t on Thursday as Mrs. Elmer Cox entertained members of the Lahoaobey club. The ladies la-dies enjoyed a delicious refreshment refresh-ment after which pinochle was played. Receiving gifts for their high scores were Mrs. John Crabtree, Crab-tree, Mrs. Ned Sargent and Mrs. Max Rlchsteig. ! Recent guests in Ogden and Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Del Carpenter and their son, Jack. While in Ogden they were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Ar-bon Ar-bon Alder and their son, Lee Carpenter, Car-penter, whose marriage they witnessed wit-nessed during their stay. In Salt Lake City they enjoyed visiting their children Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Carpenter and ' family And the George Welches. Heralding Spring with their partners were the H and H club members as they met together at the El Rey Dinning Room on Thursday, March 24. The ladies and husbands were treated to an attractive dinner as they found their places at lovely tables dressed with spring flowers and Easter eggs. The eggs held little jokes ad sayings which were enjoyed during dur-ing the dinner hour. To complete the evening the group was led in the game of Yardley by committee members. Making arrangements for the special occasion was Mrs. Henry McGlochlln and her committee. |
