Show Sudden death of Donald Carmen results in CPU reorganization Ross Workman has been elected president of the Board of California-Pacific Utilities Company following the sudden sud-den death of Donald J. Carman, Car-man, president and chief executive ex-ecutive officer, of a heart attack at-tack in the company's headquarters head-quarters office in San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Monday, Oct. 15. Workman has served as the Company's financial vice pres. ident since May 1970. Prior to that he was employed for seven sev-en years as an attorney In the law department of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He is a graduate of Claremont Men's College and Stanford Law School. Funeral services for Carman, 54, were conducted Thursday at San Mateo, Calif. Carman became affiliated with CPU first as treasurer and then as vice president and treasurer the following year. In April, 1970, he was elected president and chief executive officer. In the reorganization following fol-lowing Carman's death, the board also elected D. M. Pritch-ett Pritch-ett senior vice president and corporate secretary. For the past three and one half years Pritchett served CPU as personnel per-sonnel director and valuation accountant in the 32 years he has been employed by the Company. In other action California-Pacific's California-Pacific's Board of Directors created an Executive Committee Commit-tee and elected Charles Cav-anaugh Cav-anaugh as its chairman and man as the other two members. mem-bers.
