Show Funeral Services Held for Cooper, 88 Jesse Francis Cooper, 88, died Thursday, June 6 of natural na-tural causes. Funeral services , were conducted Saturday in the Seventh-Ninth Ward Chapel, Cha-pel, and burial was In the! Cedar City Cemetery. Mr. Cooper was born May 14, ' 1880, in Washington, Utah, a son of Mendiz Diego and Sophia So-phia Bowman Prince Cooper. He married Cornelia Whipple March 14, i917 at Shoshone, Idaho. An active member of the LDS Church he was district president and first bishop of the Gooding, Idaho, ward, and served as a Sunday School. Superintendent and also served serv-ed a mission in the southern States. Survivors Include the follow-1 ing daughters: Mrs. Don (Al- j thea) T.ce, Topeka, Kan.; Mrs. Alvin (Eula)) Lunt, Henderson, Hender-son, Nev.; Mrs. Lamoin (Ruth) Lamb, Cedar City; Mrs. Bryce (Afton) Ballard, Elko, Nev.; Mrs. Dean (Jessie) Stubbs, Provo; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers bro-thers and a sister, Richard Mrs. Lydia Banister, both Ov-1 erton, Nev., Truman, Gresham, Oregon. Speakers at the services were William Whipple, Dr. David W. Brown, and Leonard Stubbs. Invocation was by Ruben Whipple, benediction by LeRoy Whipple and dedication of the grave by Reed Whipple. The musical program included in-cluded vocal solos by Floyd R'gby and Blaine Johnson and a violin solo by Janice Lamb. Burial was in the Cedar Ci-, ty Cemetery. I |
