Show Funeral Services Are Held for Henry Davis Holt, 94 Henry Davis Holt, 91, a resident resi-dent of the Iron County Rest Home In Parowan for the past three years, and father of Mrs.' Vilate Hyatt and Mrs. Dora Stev-I ens of this city, died last Friday! morning at the rest home of causes Incident to age. Mr. Holt was a well known livestock man, farmer and miner of Washington County, residing at Enterprise and central for the biggest part of his life. He was , born Oct. 26, 1864 at Washington, a son of James and Parthenla Overton Holt. He married Alice Hunt In the St. George LDS tem-I tem-I pie and she died in 1936. An active member of the LDS Church, he served as a missionary mission-ary in the Southern States from 1890 to and had served in the rhurch auxiliaries much of his life. Survivors include three sons, and five daughters: Henry J. Holt,- Sevier, Sevier County; James LeRoy Holt, St. George; Vaughn Holt. Las Vegas; Mrs. DeLos (LaVerna) Hyatt, Elslnore, . Sevier County: Mrs. James W., (Elizabeth) Chadburn, of Callfor-nla; Callfor-nla; Mrs. Milton (Blanch) Bowler. Bow-ler. Fallon, Nev.; Mrs. Chester (Vilate) Hyatt and Mrs. Albert (Dora) Stevens, both of Parowan. Also surviving are 48 grandchildren, grand-children, 95 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Holt were conducted In the St. George Fourth Ward chapel at 2 p. m. Tuesday, and burial was made In the St. George cemetery. Attending Attend-ing the services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stevens and daughter, Dayle; Mr. and Mrs. C B. Hyatt, Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hyatt, Hy-att, Blaine Hyatt and Melvtn K. Hyatt, who came home from Georgia where he Is stationed in the U. S. Army. Also attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ancll Adams, caretakers at the rest home. Mr. Adams was a speaker at the funeral fu-neral services. |
