Show Obituary. On Friday. Aug. 2, Mrs. Susan Roberts, wife of George T. Roberts of 2308 Ara-panoe Ara-panoe street, passed peacefully away after a pious and holy life of seventy-two seventy-two years. Requiem mass was offered of-fered for her Monday morning in Sacred Sa-cred Heart church, and on Mondav afternoon aft-ernoon the funeral was held from the residence. Michael McLaughlin, father of Mrs. T.E Broderick of this city, died on Saturday, Aug. 3, at his home in John-town, John-town, Colo. The body was brought to Denver to the home of his daughter. 3030 Gray street, and the funeral took place from there Tuesday morning. High mass of requiem was said at St Patricks church by the pastor. Rev j' P. Carrigan. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. This is the third time this year that death has visited the family of Mrs. Broderick. In the early spring her aged mother passed away at Johnstown, and her death was closely followed by that of Mr T F Broderick. The little fellow, who was 7 years old, indulged in raw rhubarb and was taken violently ill. For several days a fierce battle was fought between be-tween life and death, but the child succumbed suc-cumbed desp.te the efforts of the best medical aid obtainable. Mrs Shaffer who was Miss Annie McKinley, is very well known in Denver, where her school days were passed in St. Marys academy. She is a frequent visitor here at the home of her aunt, Mrs Ellen Gleason. 1 Mrs Bertha E. Mosconi, wife of P W. Mosconi of 1316 West Fourteenth avenue, died last week at the ear y age of twenty years. Deceased was a 2Kter,Mrs- Mary Cook' an old resident re-sident of Denver. James L., the 5-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick O'Farrell. died at the family home. 1846 Marion street, on Tuesday, July 30, and was laid to rest in Mount Olivet cemetery the following day. The little one was a nephew of Rev. Father O'Farrell of Montrose, formerly connected with the cathedral, Denver. Wednesday, Aug. 7, it was the turn of the little ones from St. Clara's orphanage or-phanage to enjoy the hospitality of the Moffat road on the weekly excursions It is giving the charges in the various orphans homes of the city. The amount of pleasure these excursions have brought into the little lonely lives is incalculable. The lunch is provided on each occasion by some generous hearted citizen. For the excursion this week it was furnished by State Sen ator and Mrs. Burger. Mrs. John F Campion was fairy godmother for st' Vincent's little ones last week When they had their dayonthe Moffat road. The funeral of Reinhard Schwarz of 4028 Clayton street, who died on Friday Aug. 2, took place Tuesday morning from St. Elizabeths church. Repre. sentatives of several religious societies socie-ties attended the requiem mass and escorted the body to its resting place in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Campagne, one of the early settlers of Denver, died on Monday, Mon-day, Aug. 5, at the home of her sister Mrs. Barbara Reithmann, 1416 Court Place. The funeral occurred Wednesday Wednes-day morning with requiem high mass at St. Elizabtehs church. Mrs. Campagne Cam-pagne was the mother of Mrs. Lincoln W. Hedge. |
