Fishing at Panguitch Lake (A) Shimmering, quivering quaking aspen cover the mountains sourrounding jewel-like Panguitch Lake, brilliant blue, reflecting equally brilliant blue skies. At 8400 feet elevation, the natural lake is located in some of the most beautiful country in the west, 40 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, IS miles form Cedar Breaks, 70 miles from Zion National Park and only 17 miles from Panguitch. Its 10-mile shoreline has a paved road with resorts, modern cabins, lovely restaurants, trailer parks, and boats and motors for rent for fishing. Two public launching ramps invite the fisherman and there are public campgrounds cam-pgrounds nearby. Fly fishing is exceptional in the fall when the forest is ablaze with the colors of autumn. Trout fishing at Panguitch Lake is considered to become one of the best in the country and there are ex cellent streams in the area for those who prefer stream fishing. Camping and hiking enthusiasts en-thusiasts will find beautiful country to explore.. Deer hunting in August with a bow and arrow or during the regular rifle hunt in October provide the hunter with a good chance to fill his tag.
