Show Cemteiuinal Event Slated July 23-24 Calling it "the event of the century" for Pahgtitch. planners of the annual Panguitch Homecning . Celebration 1 are gearing up for the 3000 alumni and'"; families who are expected to attend. This year's homecoming is set for July 23 and 24 and with the early response to invitations running very high, planners anticipate one of the most successful events ever. Designed as a reunion for all Pangutich High School alumni and to join in celebrating Garfield County's v centennial, the celebration i expected-to expected-to reunite friends, families and schoolmates from 1900 to 1982 Panguitch High School classes. Individual class reunions are also being planned along with the traditional events of Pioneer Day in Panguitch. Rodeos are planned for the evenings of July 23 and 24 with a dance set for July 23. A jajade will Jt.helA on July 71 each class is encouraged to prepare a float as well as family groups. Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Pangutich are preparing a special program and another school program will also be presented. Co-chairmen for the event are Monte Marshall, Vera Robison and Orion Bauer with Bishops Carl Farnsworth, John Yardley and Clair Baldwin assisting as general commnittee members. Ann Farnsworth is secretary for the event and Monte Marshall treasurer. Also assisting are Joe Black, Craig Pearson, Stan Foy, Wayne Holman, Dyle Christensen, Orion Bauer, Earl Roe, Bruce Dalton and Bruce Heywood. Debbie Pollock is Homecmoing Yearbook chairman. In charge of the concession stands and barbecue and responsible for preparation of the ground are the Elders Quorums of the three Panguitch LDS Wards Panguitch residents are urged to clean-up and fix-up in perparation for their homecoming celebration. |
