Show Area Obituaries I Arthur V. Chynoweth Art (Papa) leaves his sweetheart sweet-heart Lorraine as he slips the bonds of this Earth and enters the place where his many ancestors ances-tors wait for him. Arthur V. Chynoweth, born Feb. 10, 1937 in Henrieville to Lavina Goulding and Lawrence Chynoweth, passed away on Sept. 28 at Alta View Hospital of pulmonary complications. He was 64-years-old. Art grew up in rural Utah on a family farm with six brothers and sisters. He attended schools in Henrieville and Tropic, and attended Provo Technical School. In June 1978 married Lorraine Christensen of Payson Utah. He became a loving father to Dianne (Steve) Hall (Steve) of Atascadero, Calif.; Douglas C. Kowalski of Victorville, Calif.; and Barbara (Bill) Yauney of Grantsville, Utah. Art and Lorraine were sealed in the Jordan River Temple in February 1995. Art enjoyed gardening, camping in the mountains and coastlines, and honeymooning on the California, Oregon, and Washington coasts. He enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and always remained close to his brothers and sisters. He grew beautiful vegetable and flowers gardens, and was fond of roses. He was the kindest of men and a generous gener-ous friend and neighbor. He was a loving husband and father and Chrystal Gray Magleby RICHFIELD - Chrystal Gray Magleby, 9 1 , of Richfield, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in Richfield. She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in Monroe, to Eugene and ' Kisty Marie Brown Gray. Her mother died when she was two ' weeks old and she was raised by her grandmother, Hannah Brown, and her aunts, Dora and Magda Brown. Chrystal received her normal teaching degree from Brigham Young University and taught in a one room schoolhouse in Sevier. She married Neal S. Magleby, Aug. 20, 1934, in Salt - Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mpnti LDS Temple, Dec. 17, 1941. Neal preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1999. Chrystal and Neal started in the mortuary profession in 1936. They lived in Richfield for two years before moving to Cedar City in 1939 where they started a mortuary. In 1941, they moved back to Richfield and purchased an ownership in Warner Mortuary. In 1945, they became the sole owners and changed the name to the Neal S. Magleby Mortuary. A new facility was built in 1949 where the present business is now located. Chrystal has been active in LDS Church and in community activities. She served, as Richfield LDS Stake Primary President and the Richfield 4th Ward Relief Society President. She was the charter president of the Richfield Culture Club when it was organized in the late 1930's. She sang for many years with the Singing Mothers and with Florence Anderson's ladies singing group. She served as a regional director for the PTA. Chrystal and Neal served as Grand Marshals in the Richfield 4th of July Parade, Richfield Light Parade and Monroe July 4 V . Art Chynoweth an adoring grandfather. He is survived by his wife, three children, and nine grandchildren: grand-children: Craig, Misty, Jed, Chris, Jenna, Lacey, Patricia, Morgan and Andrew. He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters: Larry and Billie of Cedar City, Lane and Marlene of Ferron, La Ree and Delon of Manilla; Alice of Anabella; and Eva, Jackie and Jay of Ferron. Till we meed again, Sweetheart. Your long courageous coura-geous battle to live is finished. Your new journey to prepare a place for us has begun. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 in Midvale. Interment was in the Payson City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Cannon Mortuary. i. I 7 Chrystal Magleby 24th celebration. Chrystal and Neal served together as temple workers in both the Manti and St. George LDS Temples. Her children are: Mac Neal Magleby, deceased; Alma (Gwen) Magleby, Richfield; Mary Nebeker, Brigham City; Julia (Bob) Mohr, Richfield; she has 13 grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Von) Wayman, Richfield; half-brothers, Jack Gray and Alvin Gray, deceased. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 S. 100 W. in Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Neal S.
