Show f0RE0 OBITUARIES ) vi- Robert Warren Hurt TROPIC Robert Warren Hurt, 78, passed away Apr. 9, 1999 at his home in Tropic. He was born July 31, 1920 in Clifton, Colo, to Levi and Mary Hester Hurt. He married Jeanne liana Otis, June 14, 1949. She preceded him in death Feb. 1, 1996. He served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne. He was a former long time resident of Las Vegas, Nev., before moving to Tropic. He was a heavy equipment operator op-erator with the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission at the Nevada Test Site for many years. He is survived by children: Vicki (John) Young, Mike Hurt, Pat (Joyce) Hurt, Yvonne Reynolds, Rey-nolds, Melody (Donnie) Libke, Shawna Hurt, Irene (Rich) Maillet all of Las Vegas; Kelly (Mark) Whitfield of Tropic; 16 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Hurt; sisters, June Busby and Doris Munley. Preceded in death by wife, parents, brother, Kenneth Hurt. Funeral services were held on Monday, Apr. 12, in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Scott Barton officiating. Prelude and postlude music was provided by Gwen Brinkerhoff. The family prayer was offered by Bart Palmer, followed by the invocation by Jean Seiler. A vocal selection "Abide With Me, 'Tis Eventide" was presented by the Topic Relief Society sisters, followed by speaker Bishop Lowell Mecham and remarks by Bishop f" A i L . Robert Warren Hurt Scott Barton. Another vocal selection, "I Need Thee Every Hour," preceded the benediction by Reed LeFevre. Pallbearers were Patrick Hurt, Don Libke, Jason Young, Mark Whitfield, John Young, Sean Van Patten, James Byrd, and Wid Pollock. Pol-lock. Burial was in the Tropic Cemetery Ceme-tery and the dedication of the grave was offered by Blaine Anderson, with the presentation of the flag by Bryce Valley American Legion Post 18.
