Show AUDITSHOWSCITY FINANCES GOOD The first six months audit of the City of Bingham Canyon's books shows that the financial condition of the municipality is in excellent condition. On June 30, 1942 there was a cash balance in the city's treasury of $4,971.09 as compared to $14,716.60 on June 30 this year. Out of this balance there will be no bond payments made during the balance bal-ance of the year, since the $7000 bond payment due for 1943 has already been paid. The only major ma-jor item to come out of this balance bal-ance will be a $500 note due the Utah Copper company. This note was approved to be paid at the city council meeting Wednesday evening. Budget estimates on revenues for the first half of this year totaled to-taled $8,610.00, up to June 30, 1943 there has been collected $9,443.31 or a total of $833.31 a-bove a-bove the estimated revenue collections. col-lections. $450.65 of this increase is in fines and forfeitures. Departmental De-partmental expenditures for the first six months of 1943 were $3,188.19 less than for the same period last year. The audit showed that expenditures expend-itures in all departments for the first half of 1943 are well below the budget estimates. Th,e total estimate for all departments a-mounts a-mounts to $26,837.68. The total expended up to June 30, 1943 amounts to $25,527.10. O |
