Show FUNERAL HELD FOR Wj. PLUMB Funeral services for William V. Plumb (Plausky or Plosky), 69, who died Tuesday in a Salt Lake hospital of peritonitis, were conducted Sunday noon in the Bingham mortuary. Interment was in the Bingham cemetery. Born in Russia in 1891, Mr. Plumb adopted his last name when he came to United States 38 years ago. He was unmarried and there are no known survivors. surviv-ors. Since 1913 he worked as a watchman for the Utah Copper company. The services were under direction direc-tion of aerie 659, Fraternal Order Ord-er of Eagles. Bishop David C Lyon gave, the opening prayer. A talk was given by Bishop George M. Nix of Copperton. Eugene Morris gave the closing prayer. The grave was dedicated by Lewis B. Parkin of Copper-ton. Copper-ton. Mr. Plumb was known widely in Bingham district for his flower flow-er gardens. The hillside near his home was a growing place for prize blooms from tulips in the spring to late fall flowers. By hauling soil and liberal use of commercial fertilizer, Mr. Plumb had exceptional results. He was very generous in giving bouquets bou-quets to friends and acquaintances. acquaint-ances. The gladioli from his garden gard-en frequently had 28 flowers to a stem and the dahlias were as large as 12 inches in diameter. |
