James, a former resident resi-dent of the project south of town. A. M. Gilbert, for several years engineer for the Beaver County Irrigation Irri-gation Company, has been in Milford Mil-ford and Beaver the past week. Mr. Gilbert came as a witness in the well known "Beaver Bottoms case," wherein settlers in that section claim infringement on their water rights. Mr. Gilbert has accepted a position as engineer with Mr. Tush on the project of the X. & E. J. Allen Company Com-pany near Fretao, California. j Next Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock I Cameron Arrington of the Milford State Bank and Heber Taylor will speak at the regular service at the L. D. S. church. Thomas Rowberry, of Twin Falls, Idaho, was at Hotel Milford Sunday. Mr. Rowberry is the owner of 6,000 sheep in Southern Idaho and was here on business. Sheriff Fotheringham and Deputy Wm. Hurst were . in Milford Tuesday. Tues-day. Lace, newly appointed appoint-ed superintendent of the Utah Methodist Meth-odist missions, will be in Milford Wednesday evening, February 21, and hold quarterly conference. Enoch Burton is visiting in Milford Mil-ford for a few days. There is no greater friend to Milford than Mr. Burton. He has close business relations re-lations with the moneyed men of the state and certainly gets in his boosts for Milford. James Dotson, of Minersville, agent for the Maxwell car, unloaded a car of 1918 model Maxwells at the freight depot Tuesday. There were six in the shipment and the cars were admired by several prospective pros-pective purchasers. O A. F. Tolton, cashier of the State Bank of Beaver, was in Milford on Monday and Tuesday. Mr. Tolton attended the annual meeting of . the stockholders of the Milford State Bank. He is a son of J. F. Tolton, the able Speaker of the House. M. J. Westerfield, of the' Cloister Press, of Riverside, California, and one of the owners of this paper Is here this week on business because he rather likes the place. Next Sunday morning at the Methodist Meth-odist church Sunday school will be at 10:00 a. m. At eleven o'clock the pastor. Rev. S. Allison, will speak. Sunday evening the pastor will speak on "Christ the Ideal Man." A cordial invitation is extended to all to attend any or all of these services. Soon after No. 1 of the Salt Lake Route slowed down at the depot Sunday Sun-day morning there was a splendid showing of regular army service uniforms uni-forms which attracted the attention. They were worn by members of the 21st Vnited States infantry enroute from Ft. Logan. Colorado, to San Diego, Cal., where they will be quartered quar-tered at the Fort Rosecrans barracks on the bay.
