Show GOOD SCHOOLS AND GOOD ROADS THE County Board of Education has called a bond election for September Septem-ber 25th to vote bonds in the total sum of $130,000 to provide necessary school facilities for Beaver county. The plan covers the immediate needs of every section of the county. The demand is not too much, but a rather conservative figure. Beaver county is sure to grew and to grow rapidly. It has a great diversity di-versity of resources coming to be known slpwly but surely. And when once this great new country is really "discovered" "discov-ered" by the seekers for homes and investments in-vestments southwestern Utah will grow in population and wealth very rapidly. It will not be long until the school facilities facil-ities will need to be doubled. The County Commissioners are about to call an election to vote bonds in the sum of $50,000 to combine with the Government appropriation of $30,000 for a system of good roads in Beaver county. It is an excellent thing to do. That amount of money will not build many miles of first class roads. Concrete Con-crete roads cost from $7,000 to $12,000 per mile in California, where they have been built from one end of the state to the other. Good schools and good roads are always paying investments for any country. That is a good slogan for Beaver county to adopt for her own: "Good schools and good roads." |
