Show LOCAL WILDLIFE CLUB TO BE RE-ORGANIZED The Milford Wildlife Protective Protec-tive Association held a board meeting Jan. 30 and discussed pending legislation, the deer hunt of last fall, a meeting of the South-Central Utah Outdoor Out-door Recreation Association on Feb, 4 at 1 p. m. at the Community Com-munity Center in Beaver. They also set the annual meeting and election of officers and board members for Feb. 7 in the Methodist Church at' 7:30 p. m. Every sportsman in the area is Invited to attend this meeting and you are urged to bring names of prospective officers of-ficers and board members with you. President Bert Merryweather started a discussion centering on the fact that most of the officers and board members have held office for so long that there seems no point in participation by the average sportsman. He urged everyone to come out with nominations for office and appointed a nominating nom-inating committee headed by Hy Tolley, chairman, assisted by Roy Young and Dave Morris Mor-ris to come up with some fresh names. Secretary was instructed to write the two Salt Lake daily papers over the president's signature with the views of the club regarding the proposed pro-posed license increase. Watch the Tribune's Public Forum and Hack Miller's column in the Deseret News. The condensed con-densed version of the two letters let-ters is to the effect the club is aware of and in favor of a license increase if it will be used for needed projects such as juniper-pinion eradication and reseeding of game winter range, and continuation of the successful fisheries program of recent years. We are not in favrr of an increase to be used for more top-heavy administration, administra-tion, short wave radios and new vehicles. See you at the meeting. WES BOLTON, Sec. |
