Show UTAH GETS PATENT FOR DELTA LANDS The United States government has just issued to the State of t'tah a patent for 25.S14.65 acres of land near Delta, which is the major part of the Delta Land & Water Company's Com-pany's holding under its irrigation project at that place. This is either the second or third patent to issue in the United States under the Carey act which has been in force for some time. The Salt Lake Tribune says of the matter: "The first Carey act patent to he issued by the federal government to the state of Utah was received yesterday yester-day afternoon by Governor Simon Bamberger and was immediately transmitted to Secretary W. J. Lynch of the state land board. "The patent is No. 559962 and embraces 25.814.65 acres under the Delta Land & Water Company's project pro-ject near Delta, in Millard county. This is but a portion of the Delta Carey act project. The patent is signed by C. M. Bruce, assistant federal fed-eral land commissioner at Washington. Wash-ington. "The state of Utah, under the Carey act, ma'e proof of the irrigation irriga-tion system and water rights constructed con-structed and acquired by the Delta Land & Water Company.
