Davis Mrs. Sylvia Hansen Malm-ber- g Davis, age 89, of 423 N. 100 E., Kaysville, died April 29, 1982 in a Clearfield nursing home. She was born August 15, 1892 in Preston, Ida., a daughter of Praben Augustus and Emma Petersen Hansen. She married John J. Tallman, Sept. 23, 1981 in Preston. He died July 4, 1920. . SHE MARRIED Joseph C. Malmberg Nov. 6, 1924 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He died March 22, 1957. She married David E. Davis Jan. 17, 1962 in Logan, Ut. He died Nov. 26, 1970. She had been a milliner in her early years an lived in Preston, Ida. until 1970 when she moved to Kaysville to live with her niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hadfield. She attended schools in Preston and Plain City and was a member of the Kaysville 15th Ward. She had served a mis- sion to the Northwestern States Mission and a stake mission in Preston, Ida. She was a leader and teacher in the Sunday School, YWMIA and Relief Society. She was a charter member of the Tessa Winn DUP Camp. Surviving is one son, William J. Malmberg of Florida and two grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES were held May 3 in the Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Robert Dunford officiating. McEntire Jr. officiating. The family prayer was given by Eldon T. A greatgrandmother, Bessie Glosson, California. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Parents are members of the West Bountiful LDS Fifth Ward and Bishop Joel Campbell of that ward at the service. Friends may call Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. "'ll il Ruth Keller Phillips, age 61, of 356 N. 300 E., Kaysville, died April 30, 1982 in the McKay-De- e Hospital after an extended illness. She was bom March 25, 1921 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of C.H. and Eufrashia Christensen Keller. She married Vince F. Phillips Nov. 1, 1938 in Ogden. He died July 20, 1975. Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She was a member of the Kaysville 17th Ward and a member of the Air Force Association. Surviving are her three sons and three daughters, Thomas A. Phillips, Marshall S. Phillips and Mrs. Roger (Colleen) Scothem, all of Layton; Kevin D. Phillips, Monticello, Ut.; (Sally) Martin, Roy; and Lana Cunningham of Ogden; 19 grandchildren. U63t.il and Raymond L. and Amy W. Salt Lake City; Mrs. John (Betty Jean) Crossley, San Diego, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 68 Gett-sbur- Penn, has been visiting with Mrs. Mary Timothy. He is in Utah to do genealogy work. Bishop and Mrs. Richard Brough have returned home from a combined business and pleasure trip to the Northwest. They spent time in Washington, Oregon and northern Idaho. They visited with friends in SHE WAS born May 28, 1891 in FarT West, a daughter of Joseph Allen and Mary Marshall A. McEntire Sr. in Farr West June 24, 1910. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 20, 1955. She had lived in Clearfield since 1948. She was a graduate of the Weber Academy in 1910 and a member of the Clearfield Third Ward. She had served as YWMIA president in Malad, Ida. and as Relief Society president in the Hawthorne Ward in SLC from 1941 to 1944. HE WAS bom April 27 at., and is survived by McKay-De- e his parents; a brother, Nicho-- . las W. and a sister, Sherida Dragon, all of West Bountiful. Grandparents, John J. and M.R. Dragon, Layton, Kaysville News Amy McEntire Dies At Age 90 Baker, Oreg. While in Spokane they met a cousin and his wife at the airport who traveled back to Utah with the. The cousin, Mr. and Mrs. A.K. Wright, were going to Arizona to attend a sons wedding. A houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baldwin is her91 year old father, Adrin Merritt. Mr. Merritt has been in San Diego, Calif, and is visiting while en route to his home in Salmon, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Busey of Virginia Beach, Va. arrived Monday to spend a month with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Reed. Mr. Reed is convalescing after heart surgery. Miss Tina Brough and her friend, Miss Dawn Zabower, left Friday to vacation in San Francisco, Calif. Dr. and Mrs. T. Leland Frost have accepted an LDS mission call to the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. They will enter the MTC May 20. They are members of the Kaysville First Ward. Keller and Barbara Letton, both of San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Richard (Penny) Rankin, Campbell, Calif,; and Connie J. Griggs, Sunnyvale, Calif. Funeral services, were held May 4 in the Kaysville 17th Ward Chapel with Bishop Beck K. Sheffield officiating. Interment was in the Kaysville City Cemetery, np Ariz. where they spent the winter months. Mrs. Thompson is convalescing from surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lange spent a week in California. They were the guests of Mrs. Jodi Doney at Alhambra, and of the Jess Miller family of San Mariono. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Green recently vacationed in St. George, Las Vegas and at Lake Meade. Mr. and Mrs. Garry Merril and family of Kearns were guests May 18 of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sheffield. They celebrated Mr. Sheffields birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson traveled to Rexburg, Ida. to visit their son, Dr. and Mrs. Dan Johnson, and to see their new grandson for the first time. His name is David Olsen Johnson. Weekend guests of Mrs. Mary M. Scoffield was her daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Scott of St. Helene, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Scoffield, Malad, Ida.; Mr. and Mrs. Nate Scoffield, West Point, Ut.; Mrs. Pat Smith, Kaysville, and their families. They were on hand for the birthday anniversary open house of their mother. It was in honor of her 80th birthday. Don Adams recently underwent surgery for his arm and shoulder at the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. Miss Karen Zollinger graduated from BYU on Friday with a BS in home economics. She has been accepted in the Master of Business School at BYU and received a $1,000 scholarship for the MBA program. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton D. Zollinger. She has been teaching at Olympus High School. Mrs. Lois Stephens and Mrs. Esther Mapes, members of the American Legion Auxiliary, Elmer Criddle Unit No. 82 of Kaysville, took the 1982 girl staters to Riverdale on Saturday to attend the Girls' State Tea. Delegates are JoAnn Davenport, Angie McCullough and Shannon all from Kaysville; Marilyn Payne from Farming-ton- . Marilyn is sponsored by the Farmington American Legion Auxiliary Unit. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas spent a few days last week in St. George. Miss Keats Lenhart of Seat- k, Jep-pes- tle, Wash, who has been attending BYU in Provo, is visiting with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Vemell Swan-ge- r, for a week before returning home. Dr. and Mrs. Nohl Sandall and family of Afton, Wyo. spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Linn Sandall. J. Melvin Bitter was on a business trip in Montana when he took ill and was confined to the Billings Hospital for surgery. His wife went to Montana to be with him and they returned home together after his surgery. He is now at home convalescing. Mrs. Ella Curtis of Bakersfield, Calif, spent a week in Kaysville with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Linn Sandall. She came for the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Leone Jensen of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Sandall drove her back to Bakersfield and spent a week in California before returning home. Elder and Mrs. Robert B. Day have accepted a mission call to the England Mission. They will enter the MTC on July 1. They are members of the Kaysville 13th Ward. Mrs. Mary Walter was an of overnight guest in Bountiful her niece, Renee Sorenson. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hawkes attended the graduation exercises at BYU last Fri- day when their daughter, de- Natalie, received her BS child gree in health science and development. Dr. and- Mrs. Clyde Marx and family recently traveled to Hood River. Oreg. to visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parsons. Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Passey and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Passey over the weekend. A family dinner was prepared on Sunday for other family members consisting of Mr. and Mrs. John Arkoudas and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Passey and family, all of Kaysville: Bret Passey. Salt Lake City. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Heath during the week was his cousing and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allred of Tacoma. Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Killian attended the funeral service of Mrs. Thora his sister-in-laS. Killian on Tuesday at Orangeville. They visited in Castledale with Mr. and Mrs. Blake Webster and family, and in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stevens. - Mr. and Mrs. Vernell Swan-ge- r had as Saturday visitors their two granddaughters. Miss Denese Swanger of Ogden and Mrs. Debbie Layton. Mrs. Vera Liston entertained the Bay View Club at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Winnifred Garrett gave the program.
