jLancer Lexicon By NOEL BRAVO The Lancers have speared into . the New Year with a barrage of activity. We've got wrestling, we've got basketball, we've got swimming, we've got stomps. Roman Ro-man Holidays are happening and next week is vacation big stuff! On the sports side of things, the Lancers take on the arch-rival Falcons Fal-cons at home today in wrestling, and it's off to meet the Box Elder Bees for the swim team. Tomorrow, early-season basketball basket-ball really gets mean as the rival Falcons go at the Lancers on our home court. The girls' team will be over at Clearfield to make the battle bat-tle complete. But wait! We all know that nothing no-thing caps off Lancer victories (?) like a good old stomp. This time, it's courtesy of the Laytones. Next up is a three-day weekend, courtesy of Martin Luther King Jr. . What a way to finish off the semester: semes-ter: Monday off, a three day week, ' then Friday off for Career Ladder! Don't enjoy it too much, though. "Dead Week" means a last chance to pull up those semester grades especially for those college-bound seniors. On a lighter note, the Roy Royals will play the girls' basketball team next Tuesday, the 19th, as our boys travel to Roy to 'have it out' there. Then, we can commemorate the semester's end on Thursday by cheering on the wrestlers against Weber and the swimmers against Roy. With a final thought, while we're all lounging or scrounging to finish homework this weekend, give a thought to the upcoming Sweetheart Ball it's never too late to plan out those treasured memories.
