Show Appointments set off chain reaction in school district FARMINGTON The appointment of Dr. Stephen F. Ronnenkamp as assistant superintendent superin-tendent of schools and Dr. Nancy Fleming and Dr. W. Russell Olson as district area directors set off a new chain reaction of administrative administra-tive changes in the Davis School District. Dr. Jesse Taylor, principal at King Elementary in Layton, was transferred to Muir Elementary in Bountiful, replacing Dr. Olson. Dr. Taylor had administrative experience experi-ence in the Davis District office prior to becoming an elementary school principal. Replacing Dr. Taylor at King Elementary will be Dr. Stephen Whitesides who is presently the director of support services for the Davis District. Dr. Whitesides will serve as school principal and director direc-tor of the extended day programs. These appointments will be effective immediately. The district is now accepting job applications for high school principals. prin-cipals. By the close of the school year three high schools will be getting get-ting new principals. Dr. Ronnenkamp Ronnenk-amp will continue to work as principal prin-cipal at Davis High School until an appointment is made effective June 1 . Paul Waite will be acting principal princip-al at Viewmont High School until a new appointment is made. Don Perkins of Bountiful High School will be retiring at the close of the school year. Another recent administrative change involves Dr. Betty Ashbak-er. Ashbak-er. Her job as inservice training coordinator has been expanded to include career ladders. -. The Davis District has undergone under-gone the most extensive reorganization reorgani-zation in the history of the school system. Dr. Richard Kendell, superintendent su-perintendent of schools, noted in the last seven months, he has made over 40 administrative appointments. appoint-ments. The superintendent said, "We will be lucky if the reorganization reorgani-zation is completed in a year." |
