Show ORGANIZATION OF BEAVER LIONS CLUB IS ACCOMPLISHED THIRTY CHARTER MEMBERS ON ROLLS OF CLUB IN COUNTY SEAT MILFORD VISITS Two carloads of members of the Milford Lions club drove to Beaver Saturday evening to attend the organization or-ganization of the Lions club of Beaver. Beav-er. A fine meeting was held and complete organization of a club was affected. Thirty names were ready to be written upon the charter as paid-up charter members. Talks were made by Sam Cline, of Milford; Mr. Fernstrom, Lions club organizer of Salt Lake City; Karl S. Carlton, of Milford and Dr. E. A. ' Petty, of Beaver. Ken Barton presided, and was elected elect-ed to be the first president of the new organization. Other officers chosen were: R. C. Murdock, First Vice-President; E. N. Thompson, Second Vice-President; Lew Marr Price, Third Vice-President; A. C. Saunders, Secretary; H. A. White, Treasurer; Ed Bowman, Lion Tamer; Warren Neilson, Tail Twister; and Grant Tolton, H. D. Thompson, W. T. Boyle, and George B Skinner, Board of Directors. The meeting was efficiently handled hand-led and the intricacies of Lionism expounded ex-pounded by District Governor Selley, assisted by Mr. Fernstrom,. These two men had been up for two days and nights with no sleep, in their travels about the state in the interests inter-ests of Lion clubs. Informal singing, lead by Carlton, Price, and Boardman, closed the meeting. meet-ing. Visitors present from Milford were Sam Cline, Karl Carlton, M. H. Pool, Myron Lewis, Lee Brown, Hugh Chanslor, Bert Wynaught and Joseph R. Mlurdock. |
