Show j OBITUARY. SCHMIDT. Beloved Young Man Is Finally Laid at Rest. The funeral of Julius Schmidt was held last Saturday at 2 p. m. from the residence of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Schmidt of Sandy. The funeral was one of the largest ever held at Sandy. Held's band, of which the young man had been a member, was in atr tendance. The services were held at the meeting house, and were conducted by the Rev. Wr. K. Ryan of this city, assisted by the Very Rev. J. J. Guinan of All Hallows college. Thomas H. Monohan and John E. O'Keefe of All Hallows college sang "Nearer, My God. to Thee." Mr. Monohan, accompanied by Professor Anton Pedersen, sang "Face to Face." A quartette composed of Barnard R. Anderson, Enoch Jorgensen, A. Robert Larson and L. W. Clark rendered "Asleep in Jesus." Held's band and the All Hallows college cadets walked at the head of the funeral procession. The pallbearers were Ray Canning, Robert Canning, Donald Morrison, Robert Rob-ert Harmon, Arthur Sullivan and John Tobin. |
