Show TWO BURGLARIES Oxford and Crescent Saloons Entered Apparently Work of Professional Early Monday moining it was discovered dis-covered that the saloonsof C.T. Martin and J. W. Hardy, known respectively as the Oxford and Crescent sal oons, had been entered by burglars Hnd both money aad other property stolen. At tho Oxford, the thieves gained entrance by simply using a pass key and unlocking the door. The lock was of the ordinary kind and not hard to open. The proprietor had removed all of his cash receipts except a bag of small change, containing about twenty-live dollars, which hail been left in the safe, the latter being unlocked. This money was taken. At the Crescent saloon, the doors are secured by ya'e locks and it was nec-e.'f-!-aiy for the robbers to unlock both of the intricate loc:ks before gaining ad mission. Thai tliey did so without le aving a scratch on the doors, goes to show that they knew their business. Once inside the saloon, the burglars simply knocked off the combination kno-rfi of the. safe inserted an iron in-struTiicnf in-struTiicnf and threw hack the bolt.
