Show 4- THE PROPONENTS of the change in game wardens in Beaver county, have been busy this week, and it is rumored that the names of two applicants to replace Warden Cy Davis, will be presented to the governor. The Beaver County Fish & Game club are standing pat on the retention of Mr. Davis, who has made an able and efficient warden. The change in wardens is advocated for merely petty political reasons, and not for the improvement and maintenance of game conservation and propagation. The State Game and Fish department, we understand, is maintained by the license lic-ense paid by the sportsmen of the state, and not by the taxpayers' tax-payers' money. For this reason, politics should be eliminated in the conduct of the department, and the will of the sportsmen sports-men should be respected Press, Beaver 1 |
