Show ST. PATRICK'S DAY. Much interest is being manifested in the lecture on Ireland to be delivered March 17 by Rev. T. J. Cashman of Chicago. To the speaker's charms of oratory will be added the realistic ele- i ment of views, matchless alike in representation rep-resentation and finish'. Lovers of Irish scenery say that this lecture is in many respects equal to a regular tour. The only element lacking lack-ing is the rare and invigorating atmos- phere. To the sor.fl of Irishmen and those long absent from "that little tele so green." the evening will recall scenes and, sounds that, in every dormant Hibernian Hi-bernian heart, will rouse the sense and feeling that 'Tis no' disgrace to be Irish. Nay! a pride and a joy let it be. To treasure that blood that our fathers brought From that Saint Hallowed isle of the sea. Every Irishman from the surrounding towns should so arrange matters that he can be in Salt Lake that day. The evening will not only reinvigorate his love and devotion to Erin, but will also give him an opportunity to swell the orphans' fund in the name of sweet Charity. |
