Show NOW AN IDAHO OFFICIAL. Frank W. Benne, ' a Former Salt Laker, Takes the Position of Register of the Oxford .Land Office. ' Frank W. Beane, formerly train dispatcher dis-patcher on the D. & R. G. railway, and who was recently appointed Register of i the Land Office at Oxford, Idaho, leaves on Monday next for that point. Mr. Beane is quite a young man to have secured se-cured so important a position .under the new Administration. Ho received the endorsement of the entire Indiana delegation dele-gation in Congress, in addition to those of Voorhees, Hendricks, Governor Gray, and McDonald. One of the last endorsements made by the late Vice-President Hendricks was that of Mr. Beano. ' Mr. Beane has spent the last three months in Washington, D. C, and by his genial manners and general gen-eral good-nature made himself a favorite favor-ite with all the prominent officials. Hi3 father has been a newspaper man in Indiana for the past forty years, and his acquaintance is very extensive throughout . tho Hoosier State. Mr. Bca'ne's training in his father's ofiice eminently fits him lo hold the position to which'' lie has been appointed, and his many friend3 here wish him all possible success in the place to which he has been accredited. |
