Food tax debate set Should we remove the sales tax on food by voting for Initiative A? The public is invited to a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss this issue. This meeting is co-iSponsored by the Catholic Diocese Dio-cese and the League of Women Voters of Salt Lake and will be held at the Cathedral of the Madeline Social Hall. Rod Decker of Channel 2 will moderate the discussion, which will feature both sides of the issue. Pat Shea, Democratic National Committeeman for Utah, will speak in favor of removal of the tax. Mike Levitt will represent those opposing removal of the tax.
